You had a brightly colored blanket on your bed and there was a banjo in the corner.
I remember the banjo specifically because early that morning, peaking through heavy eyelids,  I saw the banjo sitting upright in the corner.  
I asked you if you played the banjo and you said yes.
I laughed and admitted that I didn’t know you at all.
I probably laughed too deeply and for too long.
But was your blanket colorful? I never saw your room with the lights on.
