Blindfolded
A relic and Video Documentation from a performance | March 8th 2013
Blindfold, 2013.
Ink, paper, cotton, lipstick, 10in x 10in x 3in.
Text reads: “On Friday, March 8th, 2013, I sat blindfolded for one hour while my friends asked the surrounding community to come and kiss me. During this performance my deepest desire was that I would receive a kiss from a guy I had been harboring feelings for. With every kiss I asked myself, “Was that him?” I took off my blindfold to find myself marked by red lipstick. He never kissed me. I was told he watched from the doorway for over 20 minutes but that he never participated. The red lipstick came from his girlfriend.”
